Chatime was founded in 2003 with the goal of introducing the world to the flavour and fun of modern Taiwanese tea.
We have since grown to over 1,000 stores worldwide (over 70 in Australia since 2009) and our team serve more than 400,000 customers per day.

Chatime is a supplier of freshly brewed iced tea in Australia, and the largest 'teahouse' franchise in the world. Our product range includes milky, fruity, frozen, sparkling and hot teas, as well as a huge range of mix-ins including rainbow jelly, tapioca pearls and aloe vera.

Business Model

Chatime's firm focus is on expanding our successful franchise model. This is through a dedicated Central Support team who are on hand to help franchisees with everything from marketing and HR compliance through to training, IT solutions, supply chain, accounting and leasing support. . 

We will continue to maintain a number of corporate stores, ideally 10-15% of our total store portfolio however, feel our success lies in building a strong franchise system.

Future Plans

At Chatime we have plans to reach 90 T-breweries (stores) in total across Australia in 2017. With a further 30 new stores planned for 2018. 

Our goal is to grow to 200 T-breweries within the Australian market, over the next 5 years. From a brand point of view we want to become the market leader in our category and we are confident that with our strategy, franchise partners, suppliers and central support team that we will achieve our business objectives.
