ARRIVAL OF WHITE GOODS TO ASSIST BUSH FIRE VICTIMS

Picking up the pieces has been made slightly easier for Victorian bush fire victims, with the donation of more than 195 white goods valued at over $55,000 by 22 Mr Rental stores across Australia.

According to General Manager, Alan Payne, NQX Freight System agreed to collect and deliver the donations free of charge, from stores in North Queensland down to Melbourne.

"We put the call out to our network to do whatever we could in the way of donating essential items such as fridges, freezers and washers; to help those who have lost everything regain some resemblance of their lives", says Mr Payne.

The items arrived at the Salvation Army this week.

"We felt the Salvation Army were in the best position to identify those families in most need of assistance", says Mr Payne.

It is not just essential items that will be made available to families who lost all sense of normality in the horrific March tragedy.

"Mr Rental has also donated plasma TVs, DVD players, set top boxes, computers and XBoxes so that happiness can place despair even for a short moment amongst the families trying to rebuild their lives", says Mr Payne.

According to Mr Payne, renting appliances may be a handy solution to those who lost everything in the bushfire, as well as families who are suffering in the current economic crisis.

"Families are able to quickly install all the appliances they require with minimal cash outlay and without having to worry about repairs and maintenance."

"Our local Mr Rental franchisees will deliver all appliances within 24 hours and look after any repairs or issues with any of the appliances, replacing them immediately if necessary."

Mr Payne said that renting has become an increasingly attractive option throughout Australia for families looking to maximise their cashflow by not having to purchase big ticket items outright, while ensuring they're not denying their family's basic needs.
