NATIONAL MR RENTAL MORNING TEAS RAISE MONEY FOR CANCER

Yesterday having supported one of Australia's most well-loved fundraising events, Mr Rental National Support Office joined its franchisees in raising $1487 by taking part in Australia's Biggest Morning Tea.

A fundraising initiative organised by the Cancer Council to fund its research, prevention, education and support facilities, Australia's Biggest Morning Tea is now into its 16th year and this is the 7th year in a row Mr Rental, as a network, has supported this cause.

According to General Manager, Alan Payne, the franchise as a whole raised close to $80K in the last 18 months for the Cancer Council through annual conferences, training and cancer council events.

"We as a franchise are incredibly mindful about supporting the community and being able to give something back to families in need", Mr Payne said.

Having just donated more than 195 white goods valued at over $55,000 to the Salvation Army Victorian Bush Fire Appeal to assist affected families pick up the pieces, the white goods and electrical appliances rental franchise was quick to support the next worthy cause.

Franchises around the country welcomed neighbouring businesses, customers, family, friends and the public for beverages, morning tea, sausage sizzles and a visit from the Mr Rental mascot.

"Every dollar raised at the Mr Rental Biggest Morning Tea has been matched dollar for dollar by our founders, Glen and Kerrianne Hickman, totaling a donation of $2974", said Mr Payne.

"In the current economic climate, it is always the charities that start to suffer and as a franchise we are so grateful to all the local businesses and people who joined our teams in supporting this worthy cause", he said.

Mr Rental is in its nature and operation an organisation that is intent on providing the very best service and support to assist with the day to day needs of Australians.

"Our franchisees supply fridges, TV's, washers, dryers, televisions, sound systems, game consoles and even furniture and exercise equipment within 24 hours and look after any repairs or issues with any of the appliances.

Renting is an attractive option for families looking to maximise their cashflow by not having to purchase big ticket items outright, while ensuring they're not denying their family's basic needs."
