Frontline Retail has taken out an historic double, winning two major Franchise Council of Australia state awards.

Colleen and Mark Hart’s Brisbane Frontline Retail recruitment agency have been crowned Queensland’s Franchisee of the Year in the Franchise Council of Australia (FCA) MYOB Excellence in Franchising Awards. They will compete with WA state category winner Bronwyn Butcher and her Perth Frontline Retail agency for the national title to be announced Saturday 18 October 2008 in Sydney.

The FCA is the peak body for the $128 billion franchise sector in Australia, making the awards the most prestigious in the national franchise industry. It is the first time in the FCA award’s history that two states under the one franchise banner will compete for the national title.

Frontline Retail was founded in Sydney in 1995 and has a network of franchised specialist retail recruitment agencies across Australia and New Zealand. Australian owned and operated, Frontline Retail has grown to be the most successful recruitment franchise in Australia, with 17 agencies, more than 80 employees and a 100% franchisee success rate.

“It is an incredible achievement for Frontline Retail and underlines the calibre of people, as well as the results they continue to achieve within the retail recruitment market,” explained Group Managing Director Peter Davis.

“Regardless of what happens from here, the ramifications of such an award will be very positive for all franchisees Awards such as this will greatly enhance our profile both in the franchise world and to the general public including retail clients and job candidates. Australia's $128 billion franchising sector is world's best practice so to be recognised in this way is truly an honour, especially in a country with 70,000 franchise businesses in operation. It is an extremely competitive industry in this country so to have not one but two of our own recognised is a massive achievement.”

FCA judges said Colleen and Mark “Have an amazing ability to balance their attention on measuring every aspect of their business while simultaneously focusing on developing a healthy and happy culture where people feel valued and cared for. They have also mentored several people through the Frontline system to become highly successful franchisees.”

In another glowing endorsement, FCA judges said that as a multi unit franchisee “Bronwyn has an absolute passion for providing the upmost motivating culture which is anchored by results orientation and team work. Bronwyn is also committed to her team’s personal development. In fact, each team member has their very own vision board above their desk. Not only does Bronwyn focus on her people but every aspect of their business to achieve excellent results.”
