MR RENTAL MALAGA - DOUBLE AWARD WINNER

On Friday night, Mr Rental in Malaga proved it was a winning business by taking out two prestigious awards in the 2009 Malaga and Districts Business Excellence Awards. Still reeling in the excitement of winning the prominent award for Best Franchise Business, the team at Mr Rental in Malaga had hardly warmed their seats when they won the major award for the evening - Best Overall Winner.

"We were all literally gob smacked when the second announcement was made. We were so hopeful and then thrilled at winning the first award. When the second announcement was made the feeling was electric - like a fantastic lightning bolt that came out of the blue. We are still buzzing and will be for some time I expect", delights Fred Morrell, Manager of Mr Rental, Malaga.

This is a particularly triumphant time for the community minded Mr Morrell, who is being re-elected next week as the President of the local Rotary Club.

"Malaga is rapidly becoming one of Perth's major industrial areas. We have huge projected growth with more than 2,000 businesses currently existing. As a business within this community, we will always strive for bigger and better things."

Mr Morrell attributes the double win to a number of factors.

"Our National Support Office provides the support that enables this dream to become a reality for us. Our stores meet monthly so we can review our businesses and share our ideas. The sharing of ideas is invaluable to any business owner and often what you miss out on in small business. We pro-actively help each other achieve our goals and this win exemplifies this."

In particular, Mr Morrell and his team are extremely grateful to the local community of Malaga for all their support, especially for the countless testimonials they received.

"The community support has been wonderful and I think this is because we value finding solutions to our customer's problems. In these tough economic times renting may be a more affordable option to local residents. We offer personalised service and a community culture which is appreciated. We will continue to nurture this", assures Mr Morrell.

Mr Rental Malaga is a locally owned and operated business. It was established in February 2005 and now employs four full time staff members. Mr Rental's core business is renting home appliances such as fridges, washing machines, televisions, sound systems, computers, gaming consoles, furniture and exercise equipment.
